Speaking during the meeting, Governor Idris expressed concern over the recent security breaches and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to restoring peace in affected areas.
He said the state government would continue working closely with security agencies to ensure that criminal elements are brought to justice and residents can go about their daily activities without fear.
“My administration will not tolerate or spare anyone found to be an informant. Anyone found culpable will face the full weight of the law, and justice will be served,” the governor stated.
The governor stressed that tackling insecurity requires collective responsibility and warned individuals aiding criminal activities that the government would not hesitate to take decisive action against them.
Governor Commends Security Agencies
Governor Idris commended security personnel operating across Kebbi State for their commitment and sacrifices in maintaining law and order despite the challenges posed by banditry and other criminal activities.
According to him, the efforts of security agencies have contributed significantly to preserving peace and stability in many parts of the state.
He assured residents that his administration would continue to provide the necessary support to security operatives to enhance their effectiveness in combating crime.
Residents Urged to Provide Timely Information
The governor also called on residents to support ongoing security operations by providing credible and timely intelligence to relevant authorities.
He emphasized that information sharing remains one of the most effective tools in preventing attacks and tracking criminal networks.
“People should not withhold information. They should share it promptly with security agencies to help safeguard lives and property,” he added.
