The Kogi State chapter of the BAT Vanguard has congratulated its National Convener, Hon. Engr. Olusola Olofin, following his reported appointment as Zonal Secretary, Southwest Support Group Coordination, of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by the Kogi State Coordinator of BAT Vanguard, Dr. Fred Attah.
Attah described the appointment as recognition of Olofin’s political experience, strategic capacity and contribution to the mobilisation of support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
BAT Vanguard Praises Olofin’s Political Experience
According to the statement, Olofin’s political activities across the North-Central and Southwest regions have demonstrated what the group described as strategic brilliance and grassroots mobilisation.
“From the North-Central to the Southwest, your strategic brilliance and grassroots mobilization have consistently advanced the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,” Attah said.
He added that the reported appointment represented recognition of what the group described as Olofin’s longstanding loyalty and political capacity.
“This appointment recognizes a lifetime of loyalty and capacity,” the Kogi BAT Vanguard coordinator stated.
Group Expresses Confidence in Olofin
The group expressed confidence that Olofin would use his new responsibility to contribute to the APC’s political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“We remain confident in your ability to deliver victory,” the statement said.
Attah described the new responsibility as an opportunity for Olofin to expand his political contribution, concluding the message with the words: “Bigger responsibility. Greater impact.”
The development comes as political activities and mobilisation around the 2027 general elections continue to intensify across Nigeria.
Kogi Political Activities Intensify Ahead of 2027
Kogi State has remained an important political battleground in the North-Central region as political parties and support groups begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 elections.
The Bureau Journal recently reported on the death of Ijumu Local Government APC Chairman Oyewole Mayowa Solomon, who reportedly collapsed during a party reconciliation meeting in Iyara. The development occurred amid efforts to strengthen unity within the APC structure in the local government ahead of future elections.
The state has also witnessed increased political activity within the APC as party members mobilise support for President Tinubu and other candidates ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
In another development, the Bureau Journal reported on APC presidential primary mobilisation in Kogi East, where Senator Isah Jibrin Echocho mobilised party members in support of President Tinubu.
2027 Elections Drive Political Realignments
The reported appointment of Olofin comes at a time when political parties, support groups and individual politicians are increasingly building structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Bureau Journal’s 2027 elections guide provides an overview of the political environment, electoral reforms and major issues expected to shape the next general election.
The ruling APC is also continuing preparations for the elections, with candidates and political structures emerging across the country. The Bureau Journal has previously published details of the APC senatorial candidates emerging ahead of the 2027 elections.
Tinubu Support Groups Mobilise Across States
Support groups aligned with President Tinubu have continued to expand their political activities as the 2027 election approaches.
The activities include grassroots mobilisation, political engagement and efforts to consolidate support for the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda.
The development also comes amid increased public and political scrutiny of issues surrounding President Tinubu’s 2027 ambitions. The Bureau Journal recently examined the explanation provided by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) concerning the publication of Tinubu’s credentials ahead of the 2027 election.
Olofin Expected to Play Role in Southwest Mobilisation
With the reported appointment placing Olofin within the Southwest Support Group Coordination structure, the BAT Vanguard said it expects him to bring his political experience and mobilisation capacity to the new assignment.
The appointment, as described by the Kogi State chapter of the group, is expected to strengthen coordination among supporters and contribute to the APC’s efforts to secure electoral support for President Tinubu and other party candidates.
For political actors across Kogi and other states, the increasing activities of support groups signal the early intensification of the 2027 political cycle.
The Bureau Journal will continue to monitor political appointments, party activities and campaign developments as Nigeria moves closer to the 2027 general elections.
