Emir of Zuru Celebrates Gov. Idris at 61, Commends His Leadership Qualities

The Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi Mika’ilu Sami Gomo III, has congratulated the Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Garkuwan Zuru, on the occasion of his 61st birthday anniversary, describing the milestone as worthy of celebration.

In a congratulatory message, the Emir commended Governor Idris for his selflessness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to purposeful leadership, noting that his contributions to humanity and public service have continued to earn him admiration across Kebbi State and beyond.

Emir Recalls Governor’s Support for Royal Family

Reflecting on his personal experiences with the Governor, Emir Sami Gomo III recalled how Governor Idris sponsored the overseas medical treatment of his late father, Major-General Muhammadu Sani Sami Gomo II.

According to the monarch, when the late royal father passed away, Governor Idris personally ensured that his remains were brought back to Nigeria and accorded a befitting burial.

“From my experience, you sponsored the medical treatment of my late father, Major-General Muhammadu Sani Sami Gomo II, to a foreign hospital, and when he eventually passed away, you personally brought the corpse back home and gave him a befitting burial,” the Emir stated.

Commends Fairness in Zuru Emirate Succession

The traditional ruler also expressed gratitude to Governor Idris for allowing justice, fairness, and due process to prevail during the process that culminated in his emergence as the Emir of Zuru.

He noted that the people of the Zuru Emirate would always remember the Governor’s commitment to fairness and the rule of law during the succession process.

“The people of Zuru Emirate will never forget how, in the spirit of justice and fairness, you allowed due process and public interest to prevail, which resulted in my accession to the throne,” he said.

Commends Development Projects, Calls for Stronger Security Efforts

Emir Sami Gomo III further applauded Governor Idris for providing critical infrastructure and implementing economic empowerment programmes that have positively impacted communities within the Zuru Emirate.

While acknowledging the administration’s visible efforts to combat insecurity, the Emir urged the state government to sustain and intensify measures aimed at addressing security challenges across Kebbi State.

He noted that residents appreciate the Governor’s commitment to restoring peace and tackling criminal activities affecting parts of the state.

Prayers for Continued Success

The Emir concluded his goodwill message by praying for Almighty Allah to grant Governor Nasir Idris more wisdom, sound health, strength, and divine guidance as he continues to lead Kebbi State.

He also prayed for greater success for the Governor in sustaining the developmental achievements recorded across various sectors of the state.
