Hon. Haruna Kabiru Wakili, a prominent politician and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Fagge Local Government Area of Kano State, has congratulated the Deputy Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, following his re-nomination as the running mate to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the 2027 governorship election.
In a statement made available to journalists, Wakili described the Governor’s decision as a demonstration of the confidence and trust reposed in the Deputy Governor’s leadership, loyalty and commitment to the administration.
Re-Nomination Reflects Confidence in Garo’s Leadership
According to Wakili, the re-nomination is a recognition of Alhaji Garo’s dedication, competence and contributions to governance and the development of Kano State.
“I am fully confident that many leaders, stakeholders and members of our great party, the APC, see this as the right decision. The Governor’s choice demonstrates his confidence in the Deputy Governor’s loyalty, competence and invaluable contributions to this administration and to the state at large,” Wakili said.
Calls for Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections
Wakili expressed optimism that the decision would strengthen the administration’s resolve to consolidate on its achievements and promote political stability as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
He also offered prayers for Allah’s continued guidance, protection and wisdom for the Deputy Governor as he continues to serve the people of Kano State.
Appeal to Party Members
The APC chieftain urged party members and supporters to remain united and committed to the ideals of good governance, saying sustained cooperation among stakeholders would contribute to the continued development of Kano State.
He expressed hope that the administration would continue to implement programmes and policies aimed at improving the welfare and living conditions of residents across the state.
